Pixie was doing really well until Saturday night when her abdomen filled up with fluid, so back to the ER she went where they were able to drain her and give her some relief. We have had to limit her water intake and she continues to take 6 kinds of medicine each day. Through all of her challenges, she has been a pure delight and seems to be back on the mend. Thursday night was a rough night for Pixie. She was pretty out of it when we went to visit her, but she did raise her head and acknowledged that we were there. She had three IVs going and a jingle bell on her neck to alert the nurses if she were to have any seizures. Fortunately, she did not but they had to closely monitor her blood sugars which didn’t improve until she started eating well.
