Furry Tales
A reading program for kids and animals.
About the program
Furry Tales is designed to help children keep up with their reading skills and receive extra practice for those who are in need of improvement. Reading to animals helps bring comfort to and reduce the anxiety of shelter pets, and it nurtures empathy in children.
Children grades 1-5 are encouraged to come to Pet Placement Center and read to both our cats and dogs. A parent must accompany the child during their visit.
