Harvey is a special little guy. He is a true Chihuahua at heart; 70% adorable, 20% needy, and 10% crazy. Harvey is another member of our Pet Placement Center Drama Club purely because he’s a little bit of a Chihuahua spaz. He loves attention so much that when a staff member has to walk away from him to take care of the rest of the pets, he will yell at you to come back and hold him. Once you’re out of eyesight, he does calm down and would be fine in an apartment if left alone. He’s a big baby in a tiny body and just wants your undivided love and affection. Milk loves to act all cute when he plays with his squeaky toys and he will even dive headfirst into a big, cushy pet bed. He does well in his kennel overnight and is adjusting well to the shelter’s potty schedule. Milk does not mind walking on a leash and enjoys going for car rides. We are unsure of how Milk would do in a home with kids, but we believe he would ideally do best in a home without other pets or young kids. Meeting Milk may take a little time, but after a few minutes of holding his leash and letting him sniff you, he will come around quickly and start to demand attention.
Named in memory of Harvey Bernard Milk, the first openly gay elected American politician and for Pride Month.
