Cher is such a sweetheart. She’s a little nervous at first when meeting new people, but give her a few minutes to warm up and she won’t leave you alone. Just like every big dog, she loves to velcro herself to you and lean on your legs for comfort. She’ll even stand up delicately, put her paws on your shoulder, and lick your face clean. Ideally, Cher would do best in a home rather than apartment due to her ghostly faint howl, however, in a home environment she would need to be indoor only with supervised time outside. If she gets too bored outside and sees a friendly dog next door, she may try to dig under your fence. Cher is very smart and would be an excellent dog for training and taking on adventures. She loves to ride in the car and stick her whole head out the window. Cher will even paint the side of your car with her drool when she opens her mouth to take in all of the wind.
We are not sure how Cher does with cats yet but can cat-test her upon request. She may be good with children as well, but being as large as she is, we recommend older kids or kids who are used to being around large dogs.
Named in honor of Cher, an American singer-songwriter and the “The Goddess of Pop”.
