Bio:

Tis the upcoming season, so let's talk about gratitude: Mr. Irish and cream BAILEYS is a freckle faced cutie that we rescued from an overcrowded shelter several months ago. Two year old Baileys knew he was safe and sound the moment he entered our facility and it is one of the most gratifying moments to witness, for these dogs that have been confined for prolonged period of times, to run freely on grass! And Baileys gets to do that all day, every day alongside of his canine compadres, which keeps him engaged, social, and exercised. He displays sincere appreciation every single moment of every day. He has a profoundly sweet disposition and knows where he came from and what he has experienced under our care. Oh, but Baileys, there’s so much more awaiting you in your journey.

We have yet to hear Baileys bark which is astonishing given his surroundings! He also adores children, dogs, pays no mind to felines, and loves car rides! Baileys has recently gone on outings with a few volunteers and they all commented on his impeccable manners in the car, his quiet patience and gentleness when offered food and his calm demeanor when greeting other dogs and kids! He's a gem and we want to showcase him here because it can be difficult for a quiet dog in a shelter to grab the attention of adopters.

When Baileys arrived to us, we noticed he had a bit of an odd gait in his hips and were concerned that he had perhaps been injured. We had his hips xrayed when he was neutered and there were no abnormalities noted, only decreased muscle mass which we attribute from being previously kenneled without exercise for so long. He can walk, run, hike, and play without a hitch!

Baileys will do wonderfully in most environments and with a little patience in transitioning him from shelter life to home life in terms of a new routine, you will have a splendid companion for the long haul!

Baileys is everyone’s BFF and just needs to find his forever bestie. He weighs a compact, 42 lbs and is fully vetted! No yard? No problem, Baileys is happy with his walkies!
