Reese Whiskerspoon was surrendered to us because another cat in her home was bullying her. According to her previous owner, this cat attempted to prevent Reese from eating, drinking, or using the litter box, which understandably stressed her out quite a lot. As a result, it took her a while to warm up to an environment that had so many other felines; she expected them to be mean to her, after all. But, as she got used to her new roommates and warmed up to attention from staff, Reese Whiskerspoon became totally comfortable.
Ms. Whiskerspoon looks positively tiny, weighing only around 5 pounds! Her petite frame is unusual for an eight-year-old cat, but not totally unheard of; when a female cat has a litter at too young an age, it can stunt their growth and lead to remaining kitten-sized. Other cats sometimes make her nervous when they get too far into her space, but she readily and happily accepts attention from any and all humans. Her previous owner has also stated that she did fine around dogs, but would do best in a home with no other cats to ensure her comfort. Ms. Whiskerspoon is a dainty but deeply sweet kitty who would easily fit into any laps.
